Hui 'Ilio Hawai'i (the Hawaii Dog Group) was founded to promote safe and friendly places for dogs and their people to play, and to promote responsible dog ownership. Our initial reason for organizing was to build the Hawaii Kai Dog Park. Now that the park is a reality, we continue to support the dog park as "adopt-a-park" partners by recruiting and training volunteer park rangers, and by sponsoring landscaping and maintenance projects. Our ongoing goals are to help other dog groups get approval for parks in their respective districts, enhance the opportunities for dogs to get proper exercise and socialization, and to promote responsible dog ownership.

Mark your calendars!  The 8th annual Hawaii Kai Dog Walk will be held on June 3, 2012.  Details and entry forms will be posted here in April.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! We are always looking for "Park Rangers" to work in the Hawaii Kai Dog Park.   We also have other volunteer opportunities such as weeding at the park or helping with the annual Hawaii Kai Dog walk in June.  Please email us if you are interested in any of our volunteer opportunities.
